The outer star/circle is from a 13th century Jewish illuminated prayer book for Passover called the Haggadah. Originally written and illustrated in Barcelona in the 13th century, it is now found in the British Library in London. The central element is a Celtic knot from the 7th century. Together joined in this tattoo design they form a beautiful whole expressing the union of the Judeo-Christian tradition. |
